Kronos is seeking an Industry Marketing Manager with a focus on thought leadership and content strategy to support the Retail, Hospitality and Food Service industry team. This is a challenging and diverse action-oriented role in which the candidate will assist Kronos in driving growth and thought leadership in various segments of the Retail market including but not limited to: Retail, Hospitality, Food Service, Casino Resorts & Entertainment Companies. The ultimate goal of the Industry Marketing team is to support the sales team in prospecting, sales cycles, closing deals and driving success within the industry.

Responsibilities:
• Use a variety of data sources, trade publications and external thought leadership to analyze relevant business situations/trends and proactively recognize, evaluate, and develop messages to address key business issues, drivers and growth opportunities
•Identify key industry trends, and develop thought leadership content strategies designed to position Kronos and our products and services as next-generation Workforce Management and Human Capital Management solutions
o Develop and manage editorial calendar
o Collaborate with the creative team to secure writers and creative resources to
execute on content
o Create content independent of creative team in support of the editorial
calendar
o Project Manage the teams involved, and process and ensure the editorial
calendar is executed on in a timely fashion and superior quality
• In collaboration with marketing and sales leadership, build and develop a thought leadership agenda for the annual executive summit (typically in late spring), based on content strategy and industry trends and source clients for speaking slots and shape the presentations to best tell the client story while meeting thought leadership objectives
• Own, develop and manage multiple sessions for KronosWorks, our annual user conference (typically November). Source clients for speaking slots and shape the presentations to best tell the client story while meeting thought leadership objectives
• Collaborate with Demand Gen, PR, Social and Field marketing teams to amplify thought leadership well beyond the initial content creation, including (but not limited to)
o Webinars, lead generation programs and content syndication
o Press releases, inquires and article placement
o Social Media strategy
o Tradeshows, presentation topics and presentation prep
o Analyst relations as needed
• Collaborate with other Industry Marketing team members to develop sales enablement programs around the thought leadership strategy that will ensure the Sales Reps have the content and knowledge to speak intelligently around trends identified as part of the content strategy
• Develop easy to use and meaningful sales tools including collateral, case studies, presentations, leave-behinds, etc.
• Assist with external evangelism as needed
• Work cross-functionally with departments including but not limited to: sales, presales, services, creative, field marketing, corporate marketing, corporate communications, and partners

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of professional work experience in a content-driven role
• Strong interest and experience in developing future-looking thought leadership and content strategy based in an understanding what motivates people to purchase products or solutions
• Collaborative by nature, and excellent consensus building skills
• Strong organizational and project management skills, deadline driven and results-oriented
• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills and an ability to work and collaborate cross-functionally
• Aptitude for technology and ability to connect and translate concepts to customer value
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing (or related)
• Flexibility to travel 25%+

Pluses:
•Applicants with experience in a fast-paced marketing or PR agency are encouraged to apply
•Experience in the software, Workforce management, or Human capital management Industry
•Experience working in or consulting to the retail industry
