Description

At Kronos, the IT Delivery organization provides a full-range of project and program management services focused on Information Technology. We partner across teams and stakeholders to help deliver enterprise IT projects and programs of critical importance that directly impact revenue and continued viability. We strive to deliver business value for our clients through program and project management services that enable consistent, on time, on budget, high quality results. Our team members work collaboratively and apply their specialized knowledge and experience to help plan, execute and deliver projects and programs that innovate toward a technology-driven future, within an optimized technology portfolio aligned with business needs.

Responsibilities
•Mentors, coaches and develops PMs by defining behaviors/ skills, identifying skill gaps and outlining gap closing plans
•Focuses PMs on achievement of project/program outcomes, holding PMs accountable for project/program results
•Promotes a pragmatic approach to project management
•Drive a culture of urgency and on-time, on-budget project delivery
•Ensures adherence to use of standard project/program management practices
•Enhances existing methodologies, standards and process to improve project/program management capabilities of PM group
•Executes oversight mechanisms (quality reviews, stage gates) to proactively review performance of programs/projects with the portfolio
•Provides executive visibility into performance, health, and key risks/ issues for programs/ projects within portfolio
•Applies resource management practices to effectively manage resource capacities and skill sets
•Acts as escalation point for PMs, assisting in resolving and mitigating project issues and risks
•Actively assists PMs in complex or at risk projects,

Qualifications

•10+ years hand on experience leading projects/programs in different areas of IT and/or relevant consulting experience
•5+ years in a direct staff management role
•PMI certification required
•Experience in multiple project management methodologies, including Agile or similar
•Experience executing and providing oversight to projects/programs across a portfolio
•Knowledge of how to mature project management capability and successful improve skills
•Experience developing and managing a high performing PM team
•Expert understanding of the Project, Program and Portfolio Management processes and methodologies
•Extensive experience with Project Management tools
•Significant experience in working with on/offshore teams
•Demonstrated leadership abilities
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Confidence and presence and calming influence
•Expert problem solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues
•Know when to solve and mitigate risk and know when to escalate
•Capable of navigating complex and dynamic environment on a politically sensitive tightrope
