Description

- The Infrastructure Support lead is to act as an escalation point for all technical issues, the Infrastructure Support Team Leader is required to take ownership of issues through to resolution. Working closely with team members, the role encompasses all areas of Infrastructure and a specialist of at least one (preferably two), of the aforementioned technologies is prerequisite. Ensuring other team members are involved and skilled in more technical areas, the Specialist is also expected to provide excellent communication and customer service to all areas of the business.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to…    
Daily responsibilities:
- Reviewing Service Desk logs, assigning tasks to team members, chasing on progress
- Ensuring the availability and performance of all Infrastructure services, reporting and proactively monitoring to line management
- Creation of business cases for new projects and liaising internally to scope, gather requirements and develop project plans
- Configuration, Change, Risk and Major Outage management
- Documentation of all areas of technology, processes and procedures at both high and technical levels
- Technical liaison with 3rd Party support - Maintain and monitor all network, security and computer systems to meet the organization's current and future requirements
- Monitor systems and identify performance issues proactively
- Work within strict time frames and elevate incidents within defined timeframes
- Test all changes to networks, hardware, software, and hosted applications
- Monitors service delivery compliance to budget, quality standards and customer and business stakeholder
- Work with various vendors and service providers to ensure productive environment
· Resolve issues and prepare status reviews and reports
- Maintain a good working knowledge of current infrastructure and future trends
· Maintain good working relationships with all service providers and vendor to ensure that services received meet expected requirements of contract
- Provide production systems support that may include duties such as deployment, configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting of Cloud Infrastructure services (Compute & Network services) 24 X7, production SAAS environments.
- Experience in supporting Linux based infrastructure services (web, nfs, sftp, DNS, LDAP etc)
- Build and support Linux based network services (load balancers, routers, firewalls)
- Performance monitoring and tuning the Redhat for most optimal operational efficiency
- Ability to Document existing and new infrastructure deployments using Run Book and architecture diagrams.
- Collaborate with technical/business teams assess requirements and recommend solutions.
- Handle off-hour escalations as needed

Qualifications

- Diploma or 4-year technical degree.
- Must have at least 8+ years of hands-on experience managing large Cloud based Public Cloud Infrastructure services with experience.
- Experience working with public cloud – Google Preferred. - Experience working with Cloud Management Platform (CMP).
- Expertise in designing and supporting infrastructure services is mandatory.
- Hands on experience with bash shell, python and perl scripting.
- Experience in supporting Redhat server clusters.
- Experience working with supporting Cloud based Network services.
- Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity.
- Ability to communicate effectively emphasizing written and oral presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and comfortable in global working environment.
- Good at building and cultivating teamwork.
- Experience working with off-shore and distributed teams
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and experience in working within controlled environment would be an advantage
- Redhat certification is a plus.
