Kronos is seeking a seasoned VMware/Wintel Administrator capable of integrating into an experienced team responsible for the design, deployment and maintenance of company's global network, services and hosted solution.
• Manage VMware Infrastructure/vSphere clusters on Production, Corporate and Test/Development environments.
• Fine tune VMs configurations to get the best performance/resource consumption
• Detection of VMware issues, monitoring and ownership of standards and requirements.
• Participate in capacity planning for the infrastructure.
• Provide tools and procedures for resources provisioning.
• Propose VMs provisioning solutions to be analyzed and/or implemented.
• Experience setting up XenApp servers and farms in complex and user heavy environments.
• Experience publishing fat clients for vendors.
• Experience in patching/upgrading Citrix/XenApp environments.
• Experience with monitoring and auditing user access to Citrix environment.
• Good understanding of Active Directory and user/group access including GPO.
• Document existing and new infrastructure deployments using Run Book and architecture diagrams.
• Implement processes to standardize IT practices and procedures, capacity planning and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with Corporate IT, Technical Operations and DBA teams to assess future growth and capacity requirements.
• Participate in 24x7 system support rotation and handle escalations.
• Proactively research new and/or updated technologies as they come available that pertain to our environment.

Qualifications

•BS/BA degree in Business, Information Systems or Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years related work experience
•Must have at least 6 years of hands-on experience managing large Virtual Infrastructure with multiple VMWare ESX clusters along with setting up or maintaining Enterprise class Citrix environment
•Experience with vSphere5.1 is mandatory and vsphere5.5 is preferred along with XenApp servers and farms in complex and user heavy environments
•Thorough understanding of network configuration in complex ESX clusters
•Experience in patching/upgrading Citrix/XenApp environments
•Experience with monitoring and auditing user access to Citrix environment
•Proper understanding setting up access control integrated with AD
•Ability to communicate effectively emphasizing written and oral presentation skills
•Thorough knowledge with 3Par with emphasis on performance and reliability is a plus
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills and comfortable in global working environment
•Good at building, cultivating team work and mentoring
•Familiarity with ITIL processes would be an advantage
