Description

Kronos' Cloud Infrastructure Team is seeking a Cloud Platform System Engineer / level 2. This position will work cross functionally with Cloud teams both onsite and offshore within a shift rotation that covers a 24x7 schedule. This position will be primary focused on support of infrastructure operational support by managing ticket queues and focusing on daily operational tasks.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to…
- Work within a rotating shift support schedule in support of 24x7 operations
- Support infrastructure operational ticket / queue management
- Follow ‘How to’ documents
- Provide input into the improvement of overall department documents
- Troubleshooting issues
- Assist in the management and triage of escalating tickets from level 2 support up to level 3 support
- Assist in training level 1 staffing
- Provide daily shift reporting documentation
- Support and work within the ITIL support structure for Change, Problem and Capacity management

Qualifications

•Related Bachelor’s degree plus 3 – 5yrs of experience in medium to large IT environment.
•Hands on experience on IBM BigFix is mandatory.
◦Experience in a Hosting, SaaS, or Cloud environment is strongly desired
•Solid understanding and hands on experience of Windows Administration (Server 2003/2008/2012): Active Directory, SMTP, DNS, SFTP troubleshooting skills, tuning windows for performance and OS patching
•Experience supporting Citrix Application Server and Microsoft Terminal server
•Experience with VMware ESX 5.0 +
•Knowledge of SAN Storage and backup technologies
•Strong knowledge of Knowledge of hosting environments and related network configurations.
•Solid verbal and written communication skills
•ITIL experience in the following areas is a strong plus:
◦ITIL foundations, Change management, Problem management, Capacity Management
•The following certifications would be a strong plus:
◦Microsoft MCP, MCSA, MCSE, or
◦VMware VCP, VCAP
◦ITIL Foundation V3
◦A+ Certification
