Financial Analyst role in a dynamic Support Services environment; this position will be a key contributor to Support Services revenue and billings budget, forecast, reporting and analysis activities as well as to revenue accounting and VSOE analysis activities.
Responsibilities include:
• Develop annual budget for maintenance renewal billings, deferred revenue balance sheet and maintenance renewal revenue for US and Canada.
• Forecast, analyze and report the maintenance deferred revenue balance each month by reviewing invoicing and adjustment activity.
• Create reporting models and BI reports for analyzing the New and Recurring maintenance revenue stream to identify business performance drivers and quantify the impact of these on the current and future maintenance revenue stream.
• Quarterly, produce the maintenance renewal billings cash forecast for submission to Corporate Treasury.
• Monthly, provide US maintenance revenue forecast for customers flipping from on-premise maintenance to Cloud subscription services and for revenue being recorded through journal entries.
• Provide operational support to the Sr. Director renewals and her team who is responsible for $437M annual maintenance revenue stream.
• Oversee the preparation of various month end journal entries such as monthly VSOE adjustments, maintenance gross-down, pending cancellation AR accrual, ADP warranty reserve, and various acquisition revenue waterfalls.
• Revenue accounting for US and Canada maintenance business including monthly close processes, journal entries, variance analysis, internal controls and reconciliations.
• Perform semi-annual VSOE analysis for multiple Support Services offerings and revise VOSE rates in compliance with revenue recognition requirements.
• Audit interface with E&Y on all Support revenue related analysis and testing during the annual audit process, interim/year-end financial testing, internal control testing, etc.


• Bachelors Degree in Finance/Accounting and a minimum of 7 years of experience preferably in an enterprise software company.
• Prior experience supporting a service business desirable
• Must have solid understanding of revenue recognition requirements
• Demonstrated proficiency performing financial modeling in MS Excel
• Experience with ERP and reporting tools.
• Prior use of Oracle financials and Cognos BI a plus.
