Kronos Products and Technology group has an immediate need for a Director, Quality Assurance to focus on our Workforce Dimensions product, reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering. In this transformational role, he/she will lead a group of Software Quality Assurance Engineers and Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs) through the full lifecycle of software development. We are seeking candidates with a start-up mentality who can bring success in delivering rapid release cycles and adapt quickly and effectively to changing priorities. This role will require proficiency in defining and executing appropriate quality strategies/plans, creating successful metrics and working with offshore partner organizations. In addition, the successful candidate will have previous software quality assurance management experience across multiple projects while being well versed in an Agile/Scrum methodologies.

In this role you will:
• Lead and partner closely with distributed QA leadership, Development, Architecture and Product Management teams to ensure the success of our products
• Provide coaching and direction on techniques to achieve stated quality goals through education, training, coaching and collaboration on design and implementation
• Display proficiency in defining and executing appropriate quality strategies/plans, creating successful metrics and working with offshore partner organizations
•Communicate the status and key quality metrics to leadership teams, and help drive improvement as necessary
•Enhance and evangelize the QA methodologies to ensure delivery of predictable, high-quality product releases
•Expertly facilitate and manage groups and teams around a topic or activity
• Build automated test inventories to drive efficiency and productivity across the organization
• Define quality practices and metrics which serve as strong predictors for the post-release customer experience
• Lead and reinforce company values and culture in day-to-day behaviors, management style and expectations of employees
• Inspire confidence and add additional leadership strength to the broader management team
•Participate in development plan and performance reviews of direct reports


• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar discipline
• Development and support of SaaS applications
• Minimum 15 years of experience in managing quality assurance teams using agile best practices, experience working with distributed teams
•Demonstrated people management skills building and developing high performance teams
• Solid engineering foundation indicated by a demonstrated understanding of product design, life cycle, software development practices and support services
•Fluency in automation test methodologies and tools (e.g. Selenium) as well as understanding of software development processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functional boundaries to drive high quality results
• Director level experience and has managed Senior Managers/Managers
• Experience in building, managing, defining and implementing QA methodologies, processes, procedures, systems and schedules that will ensure delivery of predictable, high-quality product releases
• Experience in defining and driving testing strategy and plan for complete product releases, including regression, functional, exploratory and other testing
•Key skills include an ability to organize and motivate a team, analyze and resolve risks, execute a project plan and communicate status accurately
