An exciting opportunity to join a high-performance Human Resources team located at our Global headquarters in the Crosspoint facility in Lowell, Massachusetts. This newly created Director, Compensation role will report to the Senior Director, Global Compensation and provide operational leadership and strategic direction for Kronos’ global compensation programs.
Responsibilities:
• Oversees global compensation programs and infrastructure related to base salary, annual bonus and equity compensation. Ensures effective design, planning and delivery to support business objectives and talent strategies.
• Designs and develops competitive base and variable pay structures and policies; ensures alignment to our global career framework, competitive benchmarking methodology, pay for performance philosophy and overall compensation strategy.
• Oversees the annual compensation planning program and related work streams including the design, resource allocation, project management, and communication planning. Collaborates with cross-functional areas such as HRIS, Talent Management, and Corporate Communications.
• Drives continuous process improvement and operational excellence, with an innovative mindset, to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of compensation program delivery.
• Lead efforts to develop governance processes to ensure consistency and alignment to our compensation strategy, framework, and related policies and guidelines.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of compensation strategy and programs through data-based insights. Develops metrics/measurements in partnership with our talent analytics team; regularly analyzes trends to inform effectiveness, identify opportunities, and guide decision-making.
• Researches new trends and industry best practices; recommends revisions as well as new programs and practices which are effective, efficient, and contribute the company consistently being a Best Place To Work.
• Leads a team of compensation professionals providing training, coaching, and guidance; encourages and supports individual talent development.
• Provides strategic direction for the communication and education of compensation philosophy, programs, and policies globally.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to compensation policies, procedures and program administration globally. Ensures the team is conducting regular audits and maintaining required resources related to current policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field required; Master’s or MBA (desirable). CCP certification preferred.
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in compensation with previous people management experience.
• High Tech / Software industry experience preferred.
• Experience managing global compensation programs required.
• Equity compensation and program administration experience highly desirable.
• In-depth domain knowledge and demonstrated experience in job evaluation, job architecture, market pricing, benchmarking, salary structure design and development, pay for performance, incentive compensation required.
• Strong compensation consultation and partnership skills; ability to build solid collaborative cross-functional relationships. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Strong project management and planning skills including the ability to lead, plan, organize and resource complex programs understanding intersection points and dependencies.
• High attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks, and work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Strong critical thinking skills with the demonstrated ability to dissect and identify core questions/issues and then apply creative problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and inspire a team to achieve results.
• Willingness to challenge the status quo and ability to effect change and continuous improvement through process, technology optimization and automation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts in simple terms to various audiences.
• Strong working knowledge of technology solutions, including Microsoft Office suite, HRIS Systems, data analytics and marketing pricing solutions.
• Advanced excel skills including pivot tables, modeling, and charting required. Strong power point skills with the ability to build audience-specific presentations.
• Keeps apprised of federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations and ensures that all compensation programs are compliant with regulations.
