At Kronos, we see DevSecOps as a methodology that unites development, security practices, and operations to automate everything. Our team advocates for, facilitates, and builds a DevSecOps culture and infrastructure.
The DevSecOps Engineer will work closely with other DevOps engineers, developing deployment automation and self-service tools for the engineering organization. The individual who fills this role will also be responsible for designing and implementing secure build and release processes to deliver applications into a cloud environment.
Additional responsibilities include:
• Working cross-functionally with development teams and quality engineering to build pipelines that facilitate development and QA teams
• Injecting security best practices into the SDLC, utilizing static analysis and dependency analysis tools to detect security risks before they enter production
• Being a key player in refining, implementing and verifying compliance of industry standard security practices for cloud solutions
• Implementing automated infrastructure deployment and monitoring tools
• Closely collaborating with the Cloud Operations team, creating sophisticated application delivery pipelines to Google Kubernetes Engine
• Participates in code and design reviews to ensure quality and conformance to industry standards


• Experience deploying and managing applications in a cloud environment
• Experience using security tools like static code analysis and vulnerability scanners
• Strong understanding of CentOS or similar based Linux distributions
• Familiarity with industry standard CI/CD pipeline tools (such as Jenkins)
• Experience with configuration management tools (such as Chef or Ansible)
• Strong understanding of development tools (such as Git, BitBucket, JIRA, Confluence)
• Proven development experience in scripting languages (such as Python and Bash)
• Working knowledge of container technologies (such as Docker and Kubernetes)
• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Software development experience (using tools such as Java, Gradle) is a plus
• Experience with infrastructure management and orchestration tools (such as Terraform or Cloudformation) is a plus
