SQL Server / Postgres / Cassandra / Oracle DBA will administer and maintain the security/integrity of the application as well as the databases.
Periodic database/application maintenance/troubleshooting, patches, upgrade, incident/problem management along with integration with other business applications.

• Administer Postgres/Cassandra/Oracle database security across all databases and maintain financial audit/licenses requirements for Postgres/Cassandra/Oracle RDBMS and E-Business Suite
• Run database maintenance as required and perform database backups and restores as required, monitor database during run time and identify problems
• Complete first level of analysis of issues (CPU, memory, space, blocking, deadlock, job failure, performance, etc.)
• Perform database file and database migration, creation of database users/logins and security groups
• Proactively monitor and perform health-check for the databases and E-Business Suite using Postgres/Cassandra/Oracle by writing new(er) scripts and modify the existing scripts to meet automation goals
• Setup and maintain documentation and standards
• Follow the sun model, work as part of a global IT team, part of on-call team on rotational basis
• Daily interaction with off-shore team for warm hand-over of critical projects

Qualifications

• Graduate in Computer Science, MCA/ Regular PG course in Computers would be an added advantage
• Minimum 3 years related work experience. 3+ years in SQL Server/PPAS/Cassandra/Oracle
• Works in permanent night shift job ideally (11:30pm - 8:30am)
• Willing to work with varying geographies
