Data Solution Architect will be technology agnostic, working closely with services and other internal organizations understand their needs and designing scalable and robust solutions, working with the teams internal and external to engineering for consulting, design, coding, testing and documentation of the data Platform and also, will work closely with the product vendors and technical teams for upgrades and implementations, evaluate alternative software solutions ensuring optimal reporting requirements are met.
Responsibilities:
• Leads the strategy and defines the vision to make sure that it aligns with business requirements.
• Responsible for driving the BI architecture decisions and able to understand the current state, existing gaps and recommendations to improve.
• Understand constraints and provide data platform guidelines for high performance and availability
• Training and helping stakeholders using self-service reporting tools like BIRT and other tooling from applications.
• Lead sessions on collecting and interpreting enterprise reporting requirements and document those requirements in form of solution roadmaps and translates them into technical specifications.
• Create strategies for optimizing and standardizing the processes to improve performance.
• Co-ordinate with product vendors and technical team for upgrading BI application versions and implementations, evaluate alternative software solutions and to resolve issues
• Responsible for managing best practices while designing the solutions allowing implementation of flexible reporting capability.
• Work closely with Data architects and data development teams to develop and maintain documentation for reporting which may include common business vocabulary, and taxonomies.
• Participates in strategic planning for application roadmap and proactively identifying changes in business and technology landscape that would impact application.

Qualifications

•Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
•Has broad understanding of Data space with knowledge with Cassandra, Spark, BIRT etc.
•Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks as well as changing priorities
•Ability to recognize issues, take ownership and resolve with minimal supervision.
•Familiar with DWH concepts and principles.
•Experience with Business Analysis
