Kronos Cloud is seeking a Cloud Tools Delivery Engineer to join our Cloud OneSupport team. This position is responsible for overall Monitoring and Logging strategies for all Cloud components along with the delivery of respective tools used at each layer to provide supportability for the overall solution. Candidate should be well versed in monitoring tools ranging from Application Performance Monitoring to Public Cloud Infrastructure monitoring. Candidate should also be well versed in logging technologies that can be utilized to combine logs from multiple components and provide analytical data to multiple stakeholders with distinct requirements. The candidate is expected to deliver POC and lead the delivery team in implementing the solution while working closely with Architects to determine gaps and improvements

• Gather technical requirements, assess client capabilities and analyze findings to provide appropriate cloud solution recommendations and adoption strategy
• Work collaboratively with all levels of business stakeholders and engineers to define and develop a highly scalable Cloud Tools/Supportability solutions (Application, Infrastructure, Support and Security)
• Configure Logging and Monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Google Stackdriver, and Splunk
• Research, analyze, recommend and select technical approaches for solving difficult and challenging development and integration problems
• Develop dashboards in respective tools to provide consumers with actionable information
• Implement access controls in Splunk, Stackdriver, Dynatrace and other tools to different deployments and stakeholders
• Develop proper thresholds and alerting policies to provide accurate alerts to stakeholders
• Provide recommendations on architectural changes in order to improve efficiency, reliability and performance and to reduce cost.
• Work with Automation teams to deploy monitoring and logging solutions
• Direct experience with a Cloud provider, such as Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS), RackSpace

Qualifications

• 4-year technical degree with 6 years of hands-on experience managing large Linux based Public Cloud deployments.
• Expertise in automation and scripting languages such as Chef, Python, Ruby and BASH Shell.
• Experience working with public cloud – Google Preferred.
• Experience working with Cloud Management Platform – RightScale Preferred.
• Experience configuring and supporting Linux based infrastructure services (web, nfs, sftp, DNS, LDAP etc)
• Experience working with cloud based virtual network environments
• Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Experience working with off-shore and distributed teams
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and experience in working within controlled environment would be an advantage
