The duties of a Cloud Hosted System Engineer – Cloud Tools Engineer II will be to support and maintain various Cloud Infrastructure Technology Tools in our hosted production/DR environments. He/she will assist in the setup and configuration of monitoring solutions, log/security management, monitoring and various password management tools. The duties of a Hosted Systems Engineer (Tools) include administration, implementation and support of production monitoring tools in a 24X7 Cloud and Hosted environments within Windows and Linux operating environments.
•Performs the Designs, analyzes, evaluates, tests, debugs and implement monitoring tools programs in support of various functional areas
•Analyzes, installs, acquires, modifies and supports monitoring tools operating systems, software upgrades and other activities
•Enable and implement monitoring for upcoming customer or migrating customer environment
•Provide on call support during off hours to manage multiple tools.
•Performs maintenance, administration and troubleshooting of Cloud & Hosted production environments through timely alert and request response, acknowledgement, triage and escalation processes.
•The ideal candidate will have experience in Windows and UNIX (Linux preferred), ITIL, working and providing Technical support 24 X 7 for Customer faced production environments and extraordinary people skills.
•Complete standard tasks that have clearly defined processes and procedures • Act as a participant on projects.
•Facilitate small tools team projects/initiatives.
•Managing and configuring cloud solution tools ranging from logging, monitoring and password management.
•Provide support for all pre-defined supported cloud tools.
•Support and work within the ITIL support structure for Change, Problem and Capacity management
•Collaborate closely with other support teams to provide quality of service to the customer both internal and external

Qualifications

•Related Bachelor’s degree plus 3 – 5yrs of experience in medium to large IT environment.
•Excellent written and verbal communications.
•Demonstrated capacity to lead under pressure, make decisions in ambiguous situations, and drive cross group consensus in short periods
•Experience in a Hosting, SaaS, or Cloud environment is strongly desired.
•Solid understanding and hands on experience of Windows Administration, troubleshooting skills, fine tuning Windows for performance and monitoring.
•Experience with Enterprise monitoring tools – which are agent or non-agent-based setup
•Knowledge of Application Performance Monitoring and Log monitoring tools would be preferred.
