Kronos is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect capable of integrating into an experienced team responsible for the architecting infrastructure services for Linux based applications in our public cloud. The position requires infrastructure operations background and a thorough understanding of Public Cloud Infrastructure, SaaS services, Linux/Windows OS and expertise in cloud based deployment technologies. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to…
• Collaborate with technical/business teams to assess requirements
• Collaborate with vendors and solution partners in evaluating new technologies
• Understand vendor services and their roadmap
• Architect designs/solutions keeping business and technical objectives in mind
• Evaluate design options based on performance, operations, scalability and reliability among others
• Document architecture designs including technical writeups
• Conduct security reviews of designs working with cloud and corporate security
• Provide technical guidance to implementation and operations teams
• Present designs to larger audience including architects and senior leadership

Qualifications

• 4-year technical degree
• Must have at least 12 years of hands-on experience building and supporting enterprise infrastructure services
• Must have at least 3 years of experience architecting large scale infrastructure services and solutions
• Experience working with public cloud – Google Preferred
• Demonstrated success in working with vendors and solutions architects
• Demonstrated success in spearheading critical technical solutions involving multiple teams/resources
• Experience working with or migrating to cloud based virtual environments
• Experience defining/designing technical solutions to ensure business continuity (DR/Backup)
• Experience working with off-shore and distributed teams
• Ability to lead through influence
• Exhibit positive “can do” attitude to deliver against tight timelines
• Ability to communicate effectively with emphasis on written and oral presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and comfortable in global working environment
