Cloud Security Analyst. Here is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Security Analyst with proven experience in security analysis and compliance. This individual will proactively monitor, investigate and respond to security threats and compliance risk. Strong understanding of security concepts with respect to virtual environments in a public cloud environment is a pre-requisite. Scripting knowledge; experience monitoring Linux servers/services infrastructure to maintain compliance controls is a priority.
Analysts in this role must show exemplary judgement. Successful analysts will be proactive in identifying gaps in current controls, identifying risks and assisting in our overall security posture. Analysts are expected to balance multiple competing priorities and communicate with multiple stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Kronos is seeking an experienced Cloud Security Analyst to join an experienced team responsible for the design, deployment, maintenance and security of Linux based environments in our public cloud. The position requires hands-on knowledge and a thorough understanding of Public Cloud environment’s, software-defined networks, Linux architecture, cloud-based deployment technologies and in-depth experience in security analysis and compliance. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Manage automated security solutions for Kronos Cloud platform.
• Prepare security analysis reports for both operations and compliance needs.
• Support compliance audit requests.
• Proactively review logged security event information to identify/alert to potential risks.
• Investigate potential security incidents and serve as initial incident responder
• Follow best practices, procedures, and change management processes.
• Should be proactive and able to operate effectively with minimum supervision.
• Collaborate with technical/business teams, assess requirements and recommend resolution to security engineering team members.
• Assists in preparing and presenting the KPI’s periodically to the management and stake holders.
• Handle off-hour escalations as needed.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 4-year technical degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience with security analysis for large complex environments, preferably in Public Cloud.
• Hands-on experience in the in supporting security appliances, software and other SaaS base security offerings in a public cloud.
• Knowledge of information security management frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO, ITIL, CobiT, NIST
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Google Compute services
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python
• Industry standard security certifications preferred: CISA, GCEH, GCIA
• Experience in security analysis of Linux based infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of cloud-based virtual network environments.
• Ability to communicate effectively emphasizing written and oral presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and comfortable in global working environment.
• Good at building and cultivating teamwork.
• Experience working with off-shore and distributed teams.
• Strong understanding of Change Management and Security Audit processes.
• Experienced working within enterprise company supporting global customers.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and experience in working within controlled environment would be an advantage
