Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, Kronos Incorporated, Lowell, Massachusetts

Will work with a team of Network Engineers to build, configure, test and support Kronos’ Cloud Systems. Specific duties and responsibilities will include:

• Build, configure, test and provide production cloud systems support that may include duties such as deployment, configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting load balancers, firewall policies, VPN tunnels, DNS and Linux servers.
• Liaise with Kronos support and users to resolve network issues related to systems access in Public cloud.
• Configure and support IPSec VPN tunnels in a Cloud environment.
• Conduct proof of concept with vendors and document results.
• Orchestrate deployment of network services and systems within a Public Cloud environment utilizing a Cloud Management Platform.
• Prepare network diagrams and keep existing network diagrams up to date.
• Document existing and new Public Cloud deployments as per the approved architecture.
• Follow best practices, procedures, and change management processes.
• Collaborate with technical/business teams assess requirements and recommend solutions


• Either (i) a Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent foreign degree) in Computer Science or a closely related field and 3 years of experience as a Network Engineer or (ii) 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer.
• Must have 2 years of experience (which can have been gained concurrently with either of the primary experience requirements above), with the following:
o Deployment and configuration of load balancers, firewalls, Routers, VPN tunnels, DNS, NTP in large networks;
o Public Cloud-based virtual network environments;
o Disaster recovery and business continuity;
o Working with off-shore and distributed teams;
o Change Management and Network Audit processes as well as ITIL processes; and working within controlled environment.
Position requires regularly scheduled 24/7 on-call rotations. Must also have strong communication and written and oral presentation skills. Will accept any qualified combination of education, training and/or experience.
