Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, Kronos Incorporated, Lowell, MA

Will work on the design and implementation of service deployment systems into the Kronos Cloud infrastructure. Specific duties will include the following:

• Designing automated patching and upgrade deployment systems and procedures.
• Managing the overall service deployment processes and systems.
• Performing upgrades of services including Scheduled Downtime Upgrades and Zero Downtime Upgrades.
• Working with the service enablement team on implementation methodologies and processes Designing, documenting and executing infrastructure services upgrades.
• Designing and implementing resilient cloud services.
• Design and implement processes and policies for SOC2.
• Lead and train new team members of the Cloud Automation/Operations Team.
• Working with Customer Enablement Teams on defect resolutions.
• Preparation of analysis of business processes, including client interviews, current flow validation, and development of automated flow charts detailing process steps, hand offs and decision points Providing Training, Consultation and Technical Support.
• Administrating the Cloud automation source code for deployment systems.

Qualifications

Requirements:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent foreign degree) in Computer Science, Electronics or Electrical Engineering or a closely related field and 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer. Must also have had 3 years of experience (which can have been gained concurrently with the primary experience requirement above) with the following

o The Rightscale Cloud Management Platform (CMP) Tool, Google Cloud Platform and AWS.
o Cloud development tools including StackDriver, Appmon, JIRA, Git, Jenkins, Confluence, ServiceNow and Splunk.
o Developing and automating cloud solutions and working with networking, servers, services, microservices and middleware.
o Working with at least one DevOps, Orchestration/Configuration Management and Continuous Integration technology, specifically Kubernetes, Chef, Jenkins or Docker.
o Working with Unix and Windows administration.
o Working with advanced patterns including Blue/Green deployments, In-Place upgrades and networking in Cloud environments.
