Description

Kronos is seeking an experienced Linux system administrator to join our OneSupport team as a Cloud Infrastructure Support Engineer. This individual will support our enterprise public cloud initiative that will host our next generation product. The candidate must have 3+ years of experience provisioning infrastructure; monitoring applications and infrastructure; responding to alerts and service requests; investigating incidents; and driving events to root cause and resolution. Experience supporting 24x7, customer-facing environments is a plus, as is Perl, Python or shell-scripting experience.

Responsibilities:
•Monitor customer-facing cloud resources (compute, network and application) for availability and performance, respond to alerts, investigate incidents, analyze root causes and resolve issues.
•Field and fulfill service requests per established or documented standards and service level agreements.
•Engage additional OneSupport team resources and escalate incidents when necessary or required.
•Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals at various levels in customer and internal organizations.
•Work as a member of an international 24x7 team.
•Work with vendors and service providers to remediate issues and ensure that services received meet contracted SLAs.
•Configure, deploy, optimize infrastructure (compute and network) and services (web, NFS, SFTP, DNS, LDAP) as instructed.
•Maintain a good working knowledge of current infrastructure and future trends.
•Generate and update documentation, status updates and periodic reports.
•Participate in off-hour escalations and on-call rotation.

Qualifications

•4-year technical degree or at least 3 years commensurate experience managing enterprise-scale infrastructure, services and applications is required.
•Experience supporting Red Hat enterprise Linux is required. Certification is a plus.
•Strong verbal and written communications skills are required.
•Team-first attitude is absolutely required. Experience working with international teams is a plus.
•Python, Perl and shell-scripting experience is preferred.
•Experience with public cloud infrastructure is preferred (with Google Cloud is a plus).
•Knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity process is preferred.
•Familiarity with ITIL processes and experience in working within a strictly controlled environment is preferred.
•Experience preparing and presenting slide deck presentations is a plus.
•Windows system administration experience is a plus, but not required.
