The Business Development Representative (BDR) role is a collaborative position with quota-carrying responsibility for generating net-new sales pipeline. Responsible for driving targeted, outbound prospecting activities into a set of assigned accounts. The BDR is an extension of the Sales team with a focus of identifying, developing and creating new business opportunities for the Field Sales Executive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and prioritize strategic target account lists within defined territory with support from the field sales
executives as well as field sales management
• Leverages strong prospecting and business develop skills to generate incremental revenue opportunities thru
outbound calling/prospecting
• Utilizes in-depth knowledge of Kronos products and solutions to enhance the clients or prospects knowledge of
Kronos and communicate the value of Kronos solution to generate interest and additional meetings
• Partners with the field sales team to promote Kronos’s business initiatives and to enhance the customer or
prospects knowledge of Kronos’s products, programs, and services
• Employs expert probing skills to expand contacts or define new product requirements within a prospect and/or
customer, while increasing revenue and teaming with field sales
• Maintains a high number of outbound calls to increase number of live conversations per day calling into
prospects
• Provides qualified lead information to the field sales organization to assist in account

Qualifications

Qualifications:
• 3-5 years previous business development, prospecting and cold calling, and/or sales experience in a high
technology environment
• BA/BS Preferred.

Skills & Competencies:
• Understands the industries Kronos sells into and can have an intelligent business conversation with a
prospect/customer that the prospect/customer finds valuable
• Comfortable having business conversation with C-level titles
• Utilizes all pertinent social media tools to improve prospecting success. (LinkedIn Navigator)
• Proficient using Salesforce.com
• Strong business development, prospecting, sales and/or marketing background
• Follows a closed loop tracking process to manage leads from initial contact to field rep hand off
