Following the promotion of one of our senior developers for a software development manager role, we want to recruit a senior Full-Stack React / Java developer with knowledge / experience with the React.js framework within the AD OPT division of the KRONOS group.

The team:

You will work in a team of 7 developers and 2 test automation developers all based in our Côte-des-Neiges office. You will report directly to our Software Development Manager. You will also work with the product team and indirectly with our customers: major airlines.
In April / May 2018, the post will be close to the Snowdon metro (blue line) because of the move of AD OPT. AD OPT has doubled in size in 2 years, so we need more space!

Your role:

The main responsibility of the Java / React Senior Back-end Developer is to participate in the design of new software components and enhancements to existing products.

• Participates in the analysis, design and architecture of new software solutions that align the interests of airlines with those of planners and crew members.
• Participates in the development of new features using Java, Hibernate, Spring, ReactJS and other frameworks
• Develops new architectures
• Contributes to the continuous improvement of existing features and products
• Participate in the code review process
• Performs unit and integration testing in an automated testing environment
• Interacts with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases
• Contributes to the writing of technical documents (functional specifications, design documents, etc.)
• Evaluates the time required and resource requirements to accomplish tasks in the project
• Provides technical support for clients and employees


• A minimum of seven (7) years of software development experience
• Excellent knowledge of object-oriented programming in Java 1.7 language and design patterns
• Experience with Swing and ReactJS
• Experience with XML, Hibernate, Spring, Maven and Joda.
• Experience with SQL, JDBC and Eclipse or IntelliJ
• Experience with JUnit
• Knowledge of Agile development methodology (Scrum and Kanban)
• Excellent oral and written communications in English and French.

• Knowledge of Java 1.8
• Experience with J2EE, HTML, JSP, JAXB, JMS and REST services
• Knowledge of Fit, Cucumber, Selenium and Serenity
• Knowledge of Jenkins and Docker
• Knowledge of the Atlassian suite (JIRA, Confluence, Crucible, Hipchat)
• Experience with a collaboration system such as GitLab or Bitbucket
