Description

The Associate Product Manager defines and evangelizes the overall strategy and vision for a single product/product area. S/he understands the customer and market needs and drives development priorities to maximize the product value.

Primary/Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:
● Manage the product backlog, ideas and dependencies
● Conduct on-going market discovery to
o Understand competitive landscape and market differentiation of product
o Track industry trends
o Engage with key customers
● Creates, manages and tracks progress on GTM (Go to Market) deliverables
● Represent the product on critical internal, customer and prospect interactions
● Work with engineering, business analyst and UX resources to
o identify key feature goals, user personas and scenarios
o remove roadblocks
o set priorities
o provide feedback and insight on UX and functional designs
o deliver feature commitments on time and on budget

● Help brings customer escalations to closure
● Identify cross domain dependencies

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration or a related discipline highly preferred
● 1- 3 Years domain expertise
● 4+ Years within an Agile development environment as a product owner or business analyst
Product Management Skills
● Strategy Development
○ Manages short, medium and long term roadmaps
● Product Knowledge
○ Assists sales and services in product inquiries
○ Conducts effective product demos
● Domain Knowledge and Discovery
○ Researches industry trends
○ Performs competitive SWOT analysis
○ Identifies user profiles specific to the product
● Prioritization and Risk Management
○ Prunes and adjusts backlog as needed
○ Identifies dependencies
● Data Analysis
○ Identifies and monitors key metrics
● Solution Design
○ Details and prioritizes user scenarios to be addressed in feature development
○ Provides feedback on technical/functional/user designs from engineering, UX and business analysts
