Description

• Plan, coordinate & delegate work assignments and manage projects for technical team members
• Manage and administer the study, analysis, and evaluation of current and projected systems and procedures, as well as the design, implementation, and maintenance of revised or new systems
• Overall responsibilities for project status, meetings, reporting and technical issues
• Responsible for leading and mentoring less experienced staff
• Responsible for identifying training needs and develop appropriate development plans
• Responsible for coaching, employee engagement and motivating direct reports
• Responsible for hiring right candidate and retaining the talent
• Responsible for annual performance evaluation
• Daily interaction with off-shore Global teams and ensure team follows the follow the sun model
• Generate daily and weekly various reports like space, Service Level Agreement
• Responsible for providing support in a 24X7 environment
• Collaborate with Corporate IT, Technical Operations and DBA teams to assess future growth and capacity requirements
• Escalate issues to hardware and software vendors technical support staff for quick resolution
• Handle large projects related to security, audit and compliance including new infrastructure rollouts
• Proactively research new and/or updated technologies as they come available that pertain to the Data Center environment
• Implement processes to standardize IT practices and procedures, capacity planning and risk mitigation

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s in computer science or related field, or equivalent.
• Six years plus experience in Data Center Management, including server, storage and backup environments.
• Proven track record managing a diverse technical team to support and manage a Data Center with various platforms and technologies.
• ITIL 3 or 4 certification a plus.
• Knowledge of Dell server hardware, including installation and configuration of operating system software.
• Knowledge of Red Hat Linux, VMware 5.5 and 6.5, vCloud 9.0, and Veeam Backup software required.
• Experience with ITAM as it relates to vendor Software and hardware licensing models: Windows, Red Hat, and VMware is a plus.
• Basic understanding of Networking such as routing, VLANs, Trunking and WAN accelerators.
• HPE 3Par/Nimble SAN array and fabric technologies required.
• Experience Exagrid backup targets is a plus.
• Experience with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity.
• Ability to work effectively with Software Engineers and all levels of company management. Experience with Change Control and CMDB, Service Now a plus. Includes the use of a workflow/ticket system to handle daily operations and Change Management.
• Some travel required.
• Ability to communicate effectively emphasizing written and oral presentation skills.
• Ability to document existing and new infrastructure deployments using Run Book and architecture diagrams.
