Description

Associate IT Quality Assurance Manager
As an Associate QA Manager you will provide leadership, direction and technical guidance to the QA staff in the analysis, design, testing and deployment of Kronos, internal IT business systems. You will oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing and publishing metrics, applying industry best practices and processes to ensure quality goals are met. You will maintain ultimate responsibility for assuming all internal IT applications do not contain defects and are compliant with business requirements and technical specifications. You will act as offshore key point of contact for all assigned QA aspects of projects and enhancement releases, providing QA Services. You will help ensure we attract, train, and retain top QA talent and to build a top-performing QA Team.

Supervisory and Technical Guidance and execution
• Provides necessary definition, development and deployment of the Kronos IT Business Systems quality assurance strategy, addressing all phases of software development lifecycle
• Directly supervises Quality Assurance Analysts including the preparation and delivery of staff performance evaluations and career development activities.
• Perform system administration activities on the HP QC/ALM tool
• Manages department and overall expectations pertaining to setting accurate schedules, costs and resources
• Ensures delivery against QA department goals and objectives, i.e. meeting commitments and coordinating overall quality assurance schedule
• Sets a high bar for performance
• Works with peers in the technology leadership team to coordinate activities and solve issues as they arise
• Reassigns work to QA staff where in events where underutilized
• Provide hands on test planning and test execution on any of the internal software applications like Oracle EBS, Sales Force, Open Air, Concur, Flexera, TRR, Data Warehouse, and Cognos applications

Process Management:
• Manages the planning and execution of IT testing efforts, including all associated resources to meet committed delivery dates
• Provides effective communication regarding issues, objectives, initiatives and performance to plan
• Ensuring test standards are followed within HP QC/ALM and SalesForce Agile Accelerator
• Assists in providing and executing on the automation roadmap
• Ensures test cases are prepared for future automation
• Ensures QA test progress reports are accurate and submitted on a timely basis
• Assist in developing new or modifying existing QA processes that will improve efficiencies
• Approve QA deployments during offshore hours

Qualifications

• Overall 7-10 years with 4+ years of relevant experience and 2 years of managing a QA team and hands on experience with tests process and execution
• Solid communication, interpersonal and leadership skills and experience working in dynamic and collaborative international work environments
• Ability to attract, engage and retain top talent
• Fundamental knowledge of design and development of Automation frameworks and Automation Testing Strategies
• Strong fundamental knowledge of integrated financial systems testing, ie Invoicing, AR, shipping to financial reporting using tools such as Oracle EBS or Sales Force, etc.
• Proven work experience within a global setting
• Must be very hands on planning, executing, managing and passionate about technology and quality.
• BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
