Kronos is looking for a Software Architect to provide technical leadership for Workforce Ready Engineering’s expanding Analytics initiatives. Those initiatives will be implementing new cutting-edge descriptive and predictive analytics in the Human Capital Management (HCM) domain (Time and Labor, HR, Payroll) using state-of-the-art data modeling and machine learning techniques and technologies.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in the following areas:
• Must be able to take the business requirements coupled with the existing suite data architecture to set a technical vision for innovative analytics features and clearly articulate the evolutionary steps to achieve them.
• Able to design analytics solutions that scale and perform with rock-solid reliability.
• Must be a proven innovator who’s capable of rapid prototyping and who is comfortable working with cross-geography teams.
• Must be capable of providing leadership for junior and senior engineers alike – understanding how to leverage and enhance their current skills.
• Must be able to set, communicate, and reinforce technical standards.
• Must be capable of regularly contributing to shipping releases (fresh development experience) – building frameworks, features, and often creatively solving the most challenging problems.
• Must have demonstrated expertise at the DB tier and some experience at the front-end and middle tiers.
• Capable of working with Operations to plan infrastructure upgrades, to troubleshoot issues, and to tune the environment for optimal performance and uptime.


• Bachelor's degree in computer science or other relevant engineering field, 10+ years experience with 2+ as a Software Architect.
• Previous experience working on Analytics, Machine Learning, and/or Data Science solutions.
• Expertise with Microsoft SQL Server, Java, ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, REST APIs, data visualization, and cloud platforms.
• Demonstrated success quickly learning new technologies and systems and the ability to apply the same design principles or complementary ones as they make sense.
• Ability to lead through influence and know what data is needed to drive effective decisions.
